If there's one thing Livi loves as much as the BoSox it's the UConn Huskies! They are after all the biggest sports team in the small state of Connecticut. Tonight the men's basketball team brought the championship back home to the Nutmeg State, and I'm certain they are partying down the streets of Hartford, Glastonbury, and of course Storrs. But basketball is not all that makes Connecticut famous.
There was Noah Webster. Where would we be without the dictionary? There would certainly be a lot more cheaters in Scrabble that's for sure....
 |
| "Yes, qoph is in fact a word. Look it up!" |
There was also Mark Twain. Where would we be without his contributions to American literature?
 |
| "I never let my schooling get in the way of my education." |
In 1973, Pez built their US factory in Connecticut. Where would we be without those tilting heads and tasty confectionary?
 |
| There are over 550 unique dispenser heads with thousands of variations! Who knew? |
And in that same year, Livi's dad was born in Connecticut. And where would Livi be without him?
 |
| "Dad, what's a husky?" |
Livi comes from a long line of Husky fans, and it's nice to see her carry on the tradition. She sends her best to fans and family back east and around the globe.
